The goal is for you to leave the lesson with insights about your psychophysical habits, and skills you can practice in your own life.
Cupping
What is Cupping?
Cupping techniques use negative pressure rather than tissue compression. Suction of the cups lifts the tissues upward increasing space for underlying structures thus loosening areas of adhesion or restriction and retrains myofascial structures. Cupping pulls stagnation out of tissues and brings it to the skin level making it more accessible to the body’s circulatory and lymphatic systems where it can be properly flushed out. In addition, Cupping brings fresh revitalized blood to stagnate areas. This service is done by Massage Therapist, Kelly S., who is certified through the International Cupping Therapy Association.

Kelly wants clients to be comfortable during any treatment she does. Typically she will start off with a light to medium suction. The more comfortable the client is the more the suction can be increased. Clients have reported that they feel lighter and deeply relaxed after a the treatment.
The marks are the result of the level of stagnation in each persons tissues. They are not bruising since no damage or injury is done to tissues.
Clients have the option to receive gliding treatment only. This should not leave any marks. Gliding is deeply relaxing and effective. Gliding is a great choice if you have an event to go to and don’t want marks.
